QazaqGaz acquired a gas field in the Turkestan region
Its recoverable reserves are about 10 billion cubic meters
QazaqGaz received the Pridorozhnoye field from Samruk-Energo, with recoverable gas reserves of about 10 billion cubic meters, the business information center Kapital.kz reported citing the press service of the company.
Earlier, the national company has approved a road map for the exploration and production, it provides for the growth of the resource base of more than 700 billion cubic meters of gas.
JSC NC QazaqGaz has made a deal of assets sale and purchase with Tegis Munai LLP, which includes Mangyshlak-Munai LLP. In turn, Mangyshlak-Munai LLP has subsoil use rights for gas production at Pridorozhnoye field in Turkestan region.
Pridorozhnoye field is located in Suzak district of Turkestan Region of the Republic of Kazakhstan. It was discovered in 1975. The State Reserves Commission confirmed presence of natural gas at a depth of 1450 and 2600 meters in the volume of 16.5 billion cubic meters.
Recall that QazaqGaz NC JSC created a new subdivision "Exploration and Production QazaqGaz" by transforming Amangeldy Gas LLP. According to the chairman of QazaqGaz Sanzhar Zharkeshov, all new projects on subsoil use will be consolidated in the structure of QazaqGaz Exploration & Production.
